Karla Krafts

This is where I log craft projects, ideas, products, materials and sources including links. I'll also document sources of inspiration. I love crafts, including knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass crafting and others. My specialties were knitted baby caps and glycerin soaps I call "Gemsoaps." Now, I'm into embroidery and beading.

Something Fishy!

I tied to make toy goldfish in a bag of clear soap to give the neighbors kids for Christmas. (See Dec. 20.) They came out pretty murky, and I didn't finish them in time. I got the idea from the Martha Stewart show. http://www.marthastewart.com/article/fish-in-a-bag-soap?
They were so adorable, and since I make glycerin soaps, I had almost everything on hand. I ordered my fish from eBay.
I'm not giving up on them, though. Murky, or not, they're still pretty cute. Maybe I'll give them to the kids on the Epiphany.
