Karla Krafts

This is where I log craft projects, ideas, products, materials and sources including links. I'll also document sources of inspiration. I love crafts, including knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass crafting and others. My specialties were knitted baby caps and glycerin soaps I call "Gemsoaps." Now, I'm into embroidery and beading.

Along the Interstate, part II

I stopped back by the Carolina Fabric Outlet on my way back from Sylva and asked if I could take photos of their wonderful shop for my blog. A very tiny sweet lady told me I might not want to because the property had been sold to a developer and they might not be there much longer. She said she didn't know if the owner would relocate or just give up the shop. I was very disappointed, so I bought up several goodies; leather scraps and satin cording, pearl embellished lace and some discounted velvet while I was there.

I at least took a photo of the outside. If you're traveling I-40 near Asheville, NC, stop at exit 59 in Swannanoa, and take advantage of this wonderful shop before it's gone.
