Karla Krafts

This is where I log craft projects, ideas, products, materials and sources including links. I'll also document sources of inspiration. I love crafts, including knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass crafting and others. My specialties were knitted baby caps and glycerin soaps I call "Gemsoaps." Now, I'm into embroidery and beading.

Along the Interstate

I was travelling along I-40 on my way to Sylva, NC on Tuesday. Just past Black Mountain, I spotted a sign, "Carolina Fabric Outlet." I kept an eye out and found it! Just off exit 59 in Swannanoa, this fabric outlet has a fantastic selection. It's big, but not overwhelming like Mary Jo's in Gastonia. And if you need upholstery and decorating fabric, I saw some of the same selections I had seen in The ABC Home Store in Manhattan! I wish I'd taken pictures. I'll try to stop on my way home and snap a few.
