Karla Krafts

This is where I log craft projects, ideas, products, materials and sources including links. I'll also document sources of inspiration. I love crafts, including knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass crafting and others. My specialties were knitted baby caps and glycerin soaps I call "Gemsoaps." Now, I'm into embroidery and beading.

Pet's new cap

You really do have to pay attention to where you begin with a patterned yarn. The stripes on Petula's new cap came out wonky, as you can see. This is Bernat Baby Jacquards, "Spearmint Candy." I can add a bright pink pom pom and turn the cap so the seam is above her ear and it will look pretty enough. Still, next time I'm going to start my long tail cast on in the middle of the solid pink and see if that won't be better.
