Karla Krafts

This is where I log craft projects, ideas, products, materials and sources including links. I'll also document sources of inspiration. I love crafts, including knitting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass crafting and others. My specialties were knitted baby caps and glycerin soaps I call "Gemsoaps." Now, I'm into embroidery and beading.

Another source of inspiration and instruction

That would be Kathy Shaw's blog, shawkl. Look at how she makes and uses templates for even stitching on seam embellishments:

Hi Karla!
Thanks for coming to visit my blog and leaving such a nice comment! I also appreciate you letting me know about your blog! How delightful!
We are so lucky to live in a time where the internet connects us with other tatters so we don't have to be isolated in our craft! There are wonderful online resources available on YouTube and many others on Facebook and online forums (badge on my right sidebar to click on) There is also a book out called "Learn to Tat" by Jeanette Baker that comes with a free interactive DVD available at amazon or www.hhtatting.com ! Lots of newbie tatters say that book really helped them to learn to tat! Let me know if you have anyquestions and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction! :D
